Save As (Reports, Forms, Import/Export)

In this window you provide a name and description for the customized report, report group, financial statement, form, and import/export template.

Name: Enter the name for a customized report, report group, financial statement, form, or import/export template. You can enter up to 30 alphanumeric characters.

If you have edited (changed the design) of a report, report group, financial statement, form, or import/export template, saving it as the original name will overwrite the original version. Saving it to a different name will rename the item, but the name of the original version is still present in the list.

If you want to change a report, report group, financial statement, form, or import/export template, save the modified version using a different name. Then, remove the original version (if you will no longer be using it) using the Delete toolbar button at the top of the Select a Report or Form or Select for Import Export window.

Note: You cannot delete predefined reports, forms, financial statements, or import/export templates that came with your Sage 50 package.

Description: Enter a brief statement that describes the report, report group, financial statement, form, and import/export template. This description will appear in the Description field when the item is selected in the Select a Report or Form or Select for Import Export window. You enter up to 160 alphanumeric characters.

Filename: Sage 50 displays this filename only when saving forms in the Forms Design window. It represents the current filename of the selected form in the list. These form files are located in your Peachtree folder (by default, \Peachtree\Company\Forms). If you are renaming a form, Sage 50 will create a new filename. To examine the new filename, you can return to this window after saving the form or go to the Print Setup tab when printing or previewing the form. Knowing the filenames of customized forms is helpful when backing up your data.

Click OK when you're done filling in the information.
