Set Up an Inventory Item

Use this procedure to set up a new inventory item record.

  1. Click the Inventory Items navigation aid on the Inventory & Services Navigation Center and select New Inventory Item.
  2. Tip: From any task (transaction) window, you can type + or double-click inside the Item ID field to set up a new inventory item.

    The Maintain Inventory Items window is displayed.

  3. Enter a new item ID, and complete the necessary item information. You can use the Setup Advisor located on the right-hand side of the screen as a guide.
  4. When you're finished filling in the item information, click Save.
