List of Data (.DAT) Files Available in Sage 50 for Crystal Reports, OLEDB, and ODBC

The following is a list of data (.DAT) files that are included in Sage 50. This information is intended to assist those who design reports for Sage 50 using Crystal Reports.

  • Click any of the links below to display field information included in each .DAT file.
  • Note that this field information includes references to "keys" among the listed fields. Key fields are referred to as "indexed fields" in Crystal Reports Online Help. For details about indexed fields and tables and how to use them, look up "indexed tables" in the Crystal Reports Online Help index.

Note: The list below does not constitute a list of each file in your Sage 50 company data directory. It contains the data tables that can be accessed via crystalreports.udl, which were specifically designed for using Crystal Reports with Sage 50.

Note: Not all Sage 50 database information is available or presented in Sage 50 field tables. For example, action items and Sage 50 company user setup (user IDs and passwords) cannot be added to your Crystal reports. You may be able to access data fields that would not be pertinent for your reports (for example, fields used in internal Sage 50 functions).

Also, some Sage 50 fields (which cannot be described in Sage 50 data [.DAT] files) require custom formulas to extract data for reports.
