Sorting Transactions (Global Options)
When sorting transactions by date in most lists and reports, you can choose the type of secondary sort for these transactions by selecting either Reference Number or Posting Order from the Maintain Global Options window. To open this window, from the Options menu, select Global.
Note: Reference numbers can be manually entered or they can be assigned by Sage 50 when you print the transaction.
- Select Reference Number if you want the secondary sort to be by reference number.
- Select Posting Order if you want the secondary sort to be by posting order.
View reports that are affected by these secondary sort options.
Also affected by the secondary sort option are the Open Transaction windows, which will use one of the two secondary sort options when you are sorting transactions by date. View the Open Transaction windows that are affected .
