Edit a Task Window Template

Use this procedure to change the design of an existing task window template.

Note: Predefined templates cannot be edited or deleted. However, you can copy a predefined template and customize it by making changes.

  1. From the appropriate task window, select the Layout button. A pull-down menu appears.
  2. Select the Customize <task window> Layout option from the pull-down menu. Sage 50 displays the Maintain Template window that corresponds to the task.
  3. Enter or select the name of the template that you want to change from the look-up list.
  4. In the Entry Screen column of the Add/Remove Fields & Columns section, check the checkboxes for any fields that you want to appear on the entry screen. Uncheck the checkboxes for any fields that you do not want to appear on the entry screen.

If a checkbox is disabled, it means you cannot add or remove this field from the entry screen.

  5. When you have finished choosing the fields you want to add or remove, click the Save button.

Note: If you have the option to select a printed form to use with this template, you can customize that form at the same time that you are designing the entry screen. How do I design forms from this screen?

  6. After saving the template, close the window.
