Using TAL Pro or TAL to Link Sage 50 and Sage Timeslips

You can use Timeslips Accounting Link Pro (TAL Pro) to link Timeslips with Sage 50. TAL Pro allows you to synchronize names between Timeslips and Sage 50, transfer Timeslips transaction information to Sage 50 accounts, and create Timeslips slips automatically based on Sage 50 checks, payments, and vendor bills.

You can use Timeslips Accounting Link (TAL) to link Timeslips v10 or higher with Sage 50. TAL allows you to transfer transaction information from Timeslips v10 or higher to Sage 50 accounts.

Accessing TAL Pro setup, transfer, synchronization, and slip creation information

TAL Pro for Sage 50 includes a separate printed guide, "TAL Pro for Sage 50 Quick Start Guide." Use this guide when installing and setting up TAL Pro. TAL Pro for Sage 50 also provides a comprehensive Help system that you can access at any time.

  1. Within Timeslips, select Online User's Guide from the Help menu to open the Timeslips Help system.
  2. From the Timeslips Overview Categories list, click Overview of TAL Pro.

Accessing TAL setup and transfer information

If you are using TAL to link Sage 50 and Timeslips, you can access Help topics within Timeslips that detail TAL setup and transfer procedures.

  1. After installing TAL, open Timeslips.
  2. Within Timeslips, select Accounting Link from the Setup menu to open the TAL General Settings dialog box.
  3. Click the Linked account program field to open the Account Program Setup wizard.
  4. Use the Account Program Setup wizard to select your accounting package.
  5. After completing the wizard, a Help topic specific to your accounting package opens. If needed, you can open these Help topics again by clicking About This Link on the TAL General Settings dialog box.
