The following table lists the fields available for import or export, with a brief description of the field and (when necessary) a character limit for the field. The Import? column identifies which fields are available for import (all are available for export). The Required column shows those fields that must be provided.

Note: Inventory Adjustment Journal fields are exported using ADJUST.CSV as the default file name.

Numeric (Real) - Net inventory amount for the transaction calculated during the import process. A positive amount denotes a debit, while a negative amount denotes a credit. (This field is used for exporting only.)

G/L Source Account

Alphanumeric - G/L source account number for the line of distribution. Typically, the cost of sales account.

Date - If the General Ledger account used on a chosen distribution was cleared in bank reconciliation, then this is the date it cleared. Otherwise, leave blank or exclude this field. Must be in ##/##/## (month/day/yr) format.

Numeric (Real) - Unit cost for the line of distribution; This field is ignored during the import process, so should be used for exporting only.

Quantity

Numeric (Real) – Quantity for the line of distribution. A negative quantity triggers a reversal to the Amount field on import.

Amount

Numeric (Real) – Amount for the line of distribution calculated during the import process. This amount is designed to be a credit for the source account, which is usually a COS account. As such, the amount field should always be set to negative on importing. A negative Quantity on import is what triggers a needed debit amount.

 

 

A positive amount denotes a debit, while a negative amount denotes a credit. This field is used for exporting only.

Transaction Period

Numeric (Whole) – Period number for the transaction. Used in conjunction with the Transaction number to identify where a transaction (which is composed of several lines of distribution) begins and ends.
