Text Tool (Financial Statement Design)
The text tool is used to insert text for headers, footers, column titles, and the body of the financial statement.
When you select the text tool, four choices appear on a pop-up menu:
Body text: Use this for lines of text that appear in the body of the financial statement.
Column title: Use this for the names of columns you have set up in the financial statement.
Header: Use this for any text in the header area of the report. This includes things such as the company name, name of the financial statement, date, period, and so on. When you view reports on screen, the header area does not scroll with the rest of the report.
Footer: Use this for text or special codes that include the date or the page number of the statement that appear at the bottom of the page.
The Text window for the body text, header, and footer selections defines the text and style of fonts for body rows, header rows, and footers.
The Column Title window lets you enter the titles for columns already defined by the Column Description tool. You can change the font style, size and color, and align the title left, center, or right within the column.
