1099 Vendor Report
The 1099 Vendor Report lets you preview the 1099 forms you will submit to the IRS for your company's 1099 vendors. The report lists the following information:
Vendor ID and Vendor Name
1099 Type - Interest or Miscellaneous
1099 Box and Description
Date of vendor transaction
Transaction Amount and Box Total
Lower Limit Met? for this vendor
Options
Select the Options button to determine the data that appears on the report. For this report Sage 50 displays the following options:
- Dates: Choose the year on which the report will be based; you can choose from the two currently open fiscal years.
- Sorting: You can sort by vendor ID, vendor name, or 1099 type: INT or MISC.
- Summarize Report: Select this check box to print the report in summary rather than detail format.
- Select a filter: First, select a filter on the left. Then, define the options for that filter on the right. The options differ based on the filter selected. Tell me more about the types of filter options.
- Filter Using Default Lower Limits: Select the check box if you want to use the default lower limits for 1099 vendors. The federal government determines lower limits.
Adjust Limits: If you want to manually set the lower limits that Sage 50 will use to filter the report, deselect the check box, and then click the Adjust Limits button. This will open the 1099 and 1096 Forms - Lower Limits window, where you can change the limits.
Columns
Select the Columns link to choose which data fields to include and where the columns break on your report. Tell me more about choosing report fields.
Fonts
Select the Fonts link to set the font styles for the heading and body of the report. You can also have the titles of the report show special codes, such as the current period, today's date, an as-of date, and the company name. Tell me more about formatting reports.
