Clearing Paid Transactions
This feature allows you to remove records of vendor and customer transactions that have been paid and have a zero balance. Clearing data frees up more space on your hard drive.
Note: Clearing Paid Transactions also removes invoiced orders.
Both the Sage 50 Accounting adjusting and voiding transaction features can only be used if transactions have not been cleared. So, we recommend you delay clearing paid transactions in your records as long as possible.
Before clearing paid invoices
- If clearing vendor transactions, print the Vendor Aged report. If clearing customer transactions, print the Customer Aged report and customer statements.
- Make a backup of your data files.
You can still able to view transaction details on reports and in the transaction windows after you have cleared the transaction details.
