My Inbox
Use this dashboard section to see what transactions are assigned to you. You can see information regarding tracking the transaction such as Status and Tracking Notes. You can change the status of transactions and/or who transactions are assigned to. You can use this section in conjunction with the Transactions by Tracking Status section to help you know where you need to concentrate energy and time in your business.
General Information
- On the main Sage 50 window, select My Dashboard from the navigation aids on the left.
- If you have multiple tabs in My Dashboard, select the tab you want this section to appear on. If you want this section to be on a new tab, click Add new tab and go to step 4.
- Click Customize this page.
- From the Available sections area, highlight My Inbox.
- Click Add.
- Click OK.
You can:
- Change the status of a transaction.
- Reassign a transaction to someone else.
- Add a tracking note to a transaction.
- Change the date range for the transactions you want to appear in the list. Simply select a different option in the Date Range field.
- Change the sort of the list by clicking a column header. Clicking once will make the list sort by that column in ascending order (A-Z). Clicking again will make it sort by that column in descending order (Z-A).
- Change the width of columns. Simply click and hold the cursor and drag the column line to widen or narrow the column.
- Use Search to narrow down the transactions that appear in the list. To do this:
- Click Advanced search. This will open the search filters.
- Enter the text in the Search for field.
- Select the field in which the information should appear (for instance, Transaction Type).

Click Search. To clear the search information, click Clear Search.
Clicking Advanced search again will close the search filters.
Note: These settings will be saved causing the list to be filtered and sorted the same way the next time you view this screen.
- Click the Customize link at the top right corner of the section, then click Settings.
- Use the Settings window to select which columns appear and the order in which they will appear. Tell me more about this window.
- Click OK. on the Settings window. The data will automatically change.
Note: These changes will be saved automatically. The section will appear the same the next time you view this screen. These settings are saved on a per user basis. That means each user of Sage 50 can customize the appearance of the section to meet their needs.
- Click the Customize link at the top right corner of the section.
- Select the number of rows you want to display for that section. You can choose to display 5 rows, 10 rows, the maximum number of rows, or to have the number of rows determined automatically.
It's possible that the filters are set to exclude that transaction. For instance, the Transaction Date Range might be set to a range that does not include the transaction. Show Transactions might be set to Assigned to another user/role. The search criteria may cause the transaction to not be included. To clear the search criteria in the My Inbox section, click Advanced Search, and then Clear Search.
Click the Detail link on the transaction line.
Changing Assignees and Statuses
Transactions are assigned using the Track It panel on transaction windows (Quotes, Sales Orders, and so on) or from My Inbox.
- In the Show Transactions drop list, select Assigned to another user/role or All transactions.
- If you selected Assigned to another user/role, select the user or role to the right.
Note: Your selections will be limited based on your access rights. Also, the transactions you see will be limited based on your access rights. Only transactions that you have access to will appear in the list.
- Click in the Assigned to field of the transaction you want to change.

Click the drop-down arrow and select the user or role.
Note: The change will automatically be saved.
OR
- Click Detail next to the transaction you want to change.
- On the Track It panel, select the user or role.
- Click Save.
- Click in the Status field of the transaction you want to change.

Click the drop-down arrow and select the status.
Note: The change will automatically be saved.
OR
- Click Detail next to the transaction you want to change.
- On the Track It panel, select the status.
- Click Save.

Select the Select checkbox next to each transaction you want to change.
Note: You can only change multiple transactions at the same time if they are the same type. For example, you can make changes to multiple Sales Invoice transactions at the same time, but you can't make changes to Sales Invoice transactions and Quote transactions at the same time.
- Click Change Status or Assigned to.
- On the Change Status or Assigned to window, select the new Tracking Status and/or Assignee for the selected transactions.
