Daily Time Entries (Time Tickets)
Time entries are recorded under each daily column of the selected week when an employee or vendor performs the selected activity. Each row represents a single activity, billing type, rate, and amount.
Enter daily time entries in decimal format (HOURS.MINUTES where 4.5 equals 4 hours and 30 minutes). Daily time entries cannot exceed 23.99 (23 hours and 59 minutes converted to decimal format). Also, time-ticket duration must be a positive amount.
For each day that you enter a time for a particular row in the weekly time sheet, a separate time ticket will be created when you select Save. For example, if you have values entered on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, three separate time tickets will be created for the employee or vendor based on the same activity.
If a daily time entry is selected, it will first default to zero (0.00). If a daily time entry is left blank, no time ticket will be created when you select Save.
Note: Time tickets saved with zero time will appear in the weekly time sheet with 0.00 in the cell. If there is no ticket corresponding to a cell, the cell will be blank.
Click the Row toolbar button and then Add to insert a new row on the weekly time sheet.
Click the Row toolbar button and then Remove to delete a newly entered row of times for an activity. Remove is not available for rows that have been saved.
Tip: If you want to delete a time ticket displayed on the Time Ticket Weekly Timesheet Entry window, first select the time entry cell that corresponds to the ticket. Then, right-click and select the Delete button, provided the ticket is not used in Payroll or Sales/Invoicing.
