Converting Employee Records from QuickBooks
If you have employees set up in QuickBooks, their records will be converted to the Sage 50 format. Each converted employee record is assigned an employee ID, which consists of the employee's initials. For detailed information on what and how employee fields are converted, see the following topic:
Note: Several areas of your payroll setup are not converted. For a list of these areas, see below. Get information about setting up payroll after your conversion is completed.
Any suffix included in the employee name will be converted as part of the last name in Sage 50.
Sage 50 will convert the first five customizable fields that pertain to employees that you have in QuickBooks. However, field labels will not be converted, and the customizable fields will be inactive after conversion. How do I activate the customizable fields and create field labels?
Sage 50 does not convert the Direct Deposit Pay Item Type from QuickBooks. Direct-deposit employees must be set up manually. See Set Up a Direct Deposit Employee.
After converting the company data, you can examine and update your employee records in Sage 50 at any time.
- To display and modify employee information, select Employees/Sales Reps from the Maintain menu. Sage 50 displays the Maintain Employees/Sales Reps window.
If your employee address fields were not converted properly, see Converting address fields from QuickBooks
