Back Up Data
You can create a backup of your company data from this area. You can also see when your last backup was made. It's important to make regular backups to minimize data loss if your data gets corrupted or deleted.
Select Automate Backups from this area to schedule backups to occur automatically. When you use Automatic Backup, you don't have to remember to run backups and they can be run at times when no one is using Sage 50, such as 2 am. Tell me more about Automatic Backup.
You can restore a backup that was previously made by clicking Restore Now. If your data gets corrupted or deleted, this allows you to restore it to a previous state.
Use this section to quickly see company information without having to open the Maintain Company Information screen. You can also change your password along with other user management tasks.

Use this section to make multiple customers inactive, run year-end procedures, archive your data, and import/export data.
You can make multiple customers and vendors inactive from this access point instead of going to the maintenance windows and making them inactive one at a time. Making outdated customers and vendors inactive allows you to exclude them from lists and delete them during the purge process.
Sage 50 allows you to have two years open. You can only enter data in open years. To enter data in a new year, you'll need to close the first of your two open years. Tell me about the Year-End Wizard.
Purging data allows you to remove old transactions and inactive records from your database. This cleans up your company and improves performance. Tell me more about purging data.
Import/Export is a way to add data to or copy data from your Sage 50 company. Tell me more about Import/Export.
Archiving data allows you to keep a read-only copy of your company data for future reference. This is like taking a snapshot of your company at a particular point in time. Tell me more about archiving data.
Use this section to check your computer's memory and disk space. You'll see a warning indicator if you don't have enough memory or disk space for Sage 50 to run properly.
