Alignment Options (Financial Statement Design)
This is for totals compared to data. Tiering your totals and data will align the totals to the right within the column, and will align the data to the left within the column. Selecting to align data within the column will align both data and totals to the left.
Title: Enter the title of the column here. For some columns, such as ratios, you may not want to use a title.
Column XX Options: These options vary depending on the contents you've chosen, but every Column shows these two fields:
Width: Enter the width in characters that this particular column will occupy. You can use any number between 0 and 99, but note the following:
- A width of 0 indicates the end of the defined columns.
- Amounts can take as many as 16 characters.
- Text fields will be truncated to fit your width.
- Amounts too large to fit within the width will appear as a series of question marks: ?????.
- Tiered columns usually are 33 or more characters wide.
Align Title: You can align the title in the column to the right, left, or center.
Column Title Font: This displays the Font window, where you can select the style, size, and color of font you want.
Insert Special button: This inserts a special code, such as the company address, current period, date, and page number.
