The Financial Manager provides a brief, overall financial picture of how your business is performing. By default, the first window you see in the Financial Manager is a numeric table of summary data consisting of various business ratios.
To display a financial summary of your business,select the Business Summary display option in the Financial Manager window.
All displayed values on this window are based on the date specified in the Date field. When you change the date, the system refreshes the Financial Manager data displayed. You can also refresh the financial data by selecting the Refresh button at the top of the window. How does Sage 50 calculate balances based on specified dates in the Financial Manager?
Business summary data can be displayed in two formats:
- Numeric level: Select the Numeric button to display a set of financial data and business ratios, as of the date specified.
- Spreadsheet level: Select the Spreadsheet button to display a comparison table of financial data and business ratios as of the date specified. It also includes ending balances for up to 36 previous accounting periods.
The business-summary data consists primarily of ratio values. All calculations are rounded to two decimal places. This data includes the following:
