Upgrade Your Data from an Earlier Version of Sage 50 Accounting

Upgrade your data either:
- By opening your company data from the Select a Company window when Sage 50 Accounting starts.
- From within Sage 50 Accounting (go to the Home window and choose Open a Company from the File menu).
Open the folder that contains your old data file and select the file you want to upgrade. If you have a sysadmin password, enter it and click OK.
In the Upgrade Company window, you can see the file's current Sage 50 Accounting version or release, file name, and file path.
(Optional) You can select the option to make a backup copy of your data. If you have already done this, clear the check box.
Click Start. Your upgraded data opens automatically in the new version of Sage 50 Accounting.
