Change a Sales Tax Amount on a Transaction
There are two ways that you can change a sales tax amount on a transaction:
Change the sales tax amount charged
to an item
- Select the item line in the transaction window.
- On the Sales or Purchase menu, choose Tax Summary For Line.
- Change the Amount for the sales tax.
- Click OK to return to the invoice, quote, or order.
You can open the Tax Summary window in Purchase transaction
Change the sales tax amount charged
for freight
- Select the freight line in the transaction window.
- On the Sales or Purchase menu, choose Tax Summary For Line.
- Change the Amount for the sales tax.
- Click OK to return to the invoice, quote, or order.
Change the sales tax amount charged
to the entire transaction
- Select the item line in the transaction window.
- On the Sales or Purchase menu, choose Tax Summary.
- Change the Amount for the sales tax.
- Click OK to return to the invoice, quote, or order.
