Create a One-Time Customer

If you do business with occasional customers, you can enter a transaction without adding a permanent customer record. However, these one-time customers are limited to cash, cheque, or credit cards as methods of payment. When you verify this transaction using an All Transactions Detail report, it is identified under the heading "One-Time Customer".

If you have not been given modify rights to the Customer ledger, you can only create a one-time customer when you create a sales invoice.

Note: You cannot create a one-time customer in a sales quote or sales order.

To create a one-time customer:

  1. In the Sales window, in the Customer box, type the name of the customer and press the TAB key.
  2. Select Continue to return to the transaction window without adding this customer to your company records.

    You do not have the access rights to add this customer to your company records using Quick Add or Full Add.

  3. Continue filling in the other boxes in the window.
