Exclude Zero-balance Accounts from Financial Statements

You can hide accounts with a zero balance from income statements and balance sheets.

Note: You can also use the Hide Zero Balance Accounts option in the Modify Report window to exclude the zero-balance accounts while creating a report.

To exclude an account with zero balance from appearing in financial statements:

  1. In the Home window, click Accounts.
  2. Double-click on the account you want to exclude.
  3. On the Account tab, check the box beside Omit from Financial Statements if Balance is Zero.
  4. On the File menu, click Save, or click the Save button on the toolbar.
  5. Close the Chart of Accounts Records window.
