Modify the General Journal Entries Report
Before you can perform this task
You need to have access rights to Reports for Transactions in the Accounts and General Ledger security option.
To modify the General Journal Entries report:
- In the Home window, open the Report Centre. Select Accounts, and then General Journal Entries. Click Modify this report.
- (Optional) Select the Template you want to use for the report.
- Select the Fiscal Year you want to report on. If you select Previous Year, you can also select the Only entries posted after year end box to limit the report to previous year transactions that were recorded after the previous fiscal year end. Selecting this option automatically displays Corrections in the report.
- Select how the results should be sorted, by Date or Transaction number.
- Enter Start and Finish values for the report.
- (Optional) Select any other information you want to appear in the report:
- Corrections shows adjusting transactions that were handled by Sage 50 Accounting.
- Project Allocations adds a column for allocations.
- Foreign Amounts adds a column for foreign currencies.
- Additional Information shows any additional information recorded with transactions.
- Customize the:
- Columns that appear in the report
- How your report is sorted
- Results using filters
- Printer settings for the report
- Fonts in the report
- (Optional) Save the report as a template in My Reports.
- Click OK to display the report.
Note: To process transactions in the next fiscal year, ensure you have turned on the options Allow transactions in the future and Allow General Journal and payroll transactions for the next fiscal year or calendar year within the System settings for your company.
