Packing Slips
Packing slips contain shipping and item information, and are included with the items shipped to a customer. Sage 50 Accounting uses invoices as the source for packing slips, with or without pricing. There are three kinds of packing slip forms:
- Packing slip. This form includes shipping and billing addresses, description and quantity of items shipped, method of shipment and tracking number.
- Packing slip and invoice combination. In addition to the information provided on a regular packing slip, this form also lists the total sales amount and taxes owing, as well as customer payment terms.
- Packing slip-invoice with discount. This form resembles the packing slip and invoice combination, but also includes item discounts if this feature has been turned on.
If you are shipping products to a customer, enter the sales invoice as you would normally. Before you process the transaction, print a packing slip for the items you are sending.
You can customize the form styles using the Sage 50 Accounting Forms Designer, or use a pre-printed form. You cannot email a packing slip.
