Turn on Sage account login

When Sage account login is turned on, users will log in to the company in Sage 50 using their Sage account. Once Sage account login is turned on:

  • Users with a Sage account must log in to the company using their Sage account login.

  • Users without a Sage account can access the company using their local user credentials, but they will not be able to access connected services.

Turn on Sage account login

Sage account login can be turned on when you first connect your company to your Sage account or at any time from the User Security window. To turn on Sage account login, complete these steps:

  1. Go to Maintain > Users > Set up user security... and click Turn on Sage account login.

    Note: If you haven't connected the company to your Sage account, you'll be prompted to do that first. You can set up Sage accounts and turn on Sage account login during this process.

  2. Before turning on Sage account login, you'll be prompted to set up Sage accounts for your Sage 50 users.

  3. After you set up Sage accounts for your users, click OK to turn on Sage account login.

Turn off Sage account login

If you turn off Sage account login, users will access the company in Sage 50 using their local user credentials (as defined in their user profile). Turn off Sage account login by going to Maintain > Users > Set Up User Security... and clicking Turn off Sage account login.
