Use this window of the sales taxes setup wizard to select whether or not you want to edit or delete an existing sales tax, create a new one, or simply view all existing taxes and agencies.
- Set up a new sales tax: Select this option if you want to set up a new sales tax ID and agency (this is the taxing authority to whom you will send collected sales taxes, such as the state or county). Selecting this option will open the Set Up New Tax window.
- Edit an existing sales tax or sales tax agency: Select this option if you want to edit an existing ID or agency. You might need to do this if one of the IDs changes, or if another tax is added to an existing sales tax, such as a temporary school tax. Selecting this option will open the Edit Sales Taxes window.
- Delete a sales tax or sales tax agency: Select this option if you want to delete an existing sales tax or agency. Selecting this option will open the Delete Sales Tax window.
- View all sales taxes and associated agencies: Select this option if you want to view all existing sales taxes and their associated agencies.
- Close the sales tax wizard: Select this option if you are done setting up sales taxes. You can always return to this wizard
