Editing Sales Tax IDs and Agencies

You can edit the information in Sales Tax IDs and Agencies, such as changing the agencies that make up a sales tax ID or changing the percentage of tax for an agency. Use the steps below to edit sales tax IDs or agencies.

Editing Sales Tax IDs

To edit an existing sales tax IDs, follow the steps below.

1. Select Maintain, then Sales Taxes from the Sage 50 menubar. This will open the Set Up Sales Taxes wizard.
2. Select Edit an existing sales tax or associated agency. Then, click Next.
3. From the grid on the Edit Sales taxes window, highlight the sales tax ID that you want to change.
4. Click Next. This will open the Edit Sales Tax window.
5. Make the changes that you want.
• If you want to change the Sales tax name or the setting for charging sales tax on freight, simply change the information at the top of the window.
• If you want to change which sales tax agencies are associated with this sales tax, use the check boxes in the grid to select or deselect the appropriate agencies.
6. When you are done, click Finish to save the changes.

Editing Sales Tax Agencies

To edit an existing agency, follow the steps below.

1. Select Maintain, then Sales Taxes from the Sage 50 menubar. This will open the Set Up Sales Taxes wizard.
2. Select Edit an existing sales tax or associated agency. Then, click Next.
3. From the grid on the Edit Sales Taxes window, highlight the sales tax agency that you want to change.
4. Click Next. This will open the Edit Sales Tax Agency window.
5. Make the appropriate changes to the information on this screen.
6. Click Finish when you are done.
