Intermediary Transactions

An intermediary transaction is a transaction type that is associated with serialized inventory. Intermediary transactions return previously removed serialized items back to your inventory. For example when you sell a serialized item to a customer and then they return the item, that is considered an intermediary transaction.

The transaction type is determined by whether the quantity is positive or negative. Since you can enter negative quantities on some task windows, we will describe in detail what constitutes an intermediary transaction.
