Sage 50 Payroll Options (Overview)

Sage 50 offers payroll options to meet your needs. If you choose to do payroll yourself without subscribing to a payroll solution, you will have to keep up with tax laws and calculations yourself and manually calculate your payroll taxes and deductions. You'll also have to manually enter your payroll tax forms such as W-2s and 941s.

  • Desktop: You process your payroll in Sage 50 and we’ll maintain your tax tables and tax forms so you don’t have to keep up with regulation changes. To do desktop payroll, you must subscribe to a plan that includes payroll.
  • Direct Deposit: You can add direct deposit to eliminate lost paychecks and help protect your business and employees' personal data from identity theft.

Subscribe to a plan that includes payroll and you’ll receive:

  • the latest federal payroll withholding tax formula changes
  • state payroll withholding tax formula changes for your choice of two states--including Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands
  • key local payroll tax withholding changes for certain states
  • format changes for W-2 Forms, W-3 Forms, 1099 MISC/NEC, 1099-K, and 1099 INT Forms, 941 Report, 940EZ Report, and more
