Notes (Inventory and Jobs)
Select the Note button in the Maintain Inventory Items window or the Notes tab in the Maintain Jobs window to enter or display a comment about the record displayed. Job and inventory comments are for internal use only and can be added to reports, if desired.
- To enter a note, click inside the large text box. You can enter up to 250 characters of text in inventory notes and 2000 characters in job notes.
As you type your comment, you do not need to press ENTER at the end of each line; the words will wrap to the next line for you. If you do press ENTER when entering an inventory note, this action will save the entry and close the Notes window.
Tip: To move to the next line (enter a new paragraph), press CTRL+ENTER.

Note: Notes can also be entered in the Raise History window (Sage 50 Premium Accounting and higher). Tell me more.
In other areas of Sage 50 (such as Events, Time Tickets, and Expense Tickets, internal notes are entered directly in their respective windows. (The Note button is not present.)
