Copy a different type of transaction

Sage 50 allows you to create a new proposal by copying an existing one.

To copy a proposal from the Proposals screen:

  1. Go to Tasks>Quotes/Sales Orders/Proposals>Proposals.
  2. Click the List button.
  3. Open the proposal you want to copy.
  4. Click the Copy button.
  5. The new proposal appears on the screen.
  6. Add or edit the information on the proposal as necessary.
  7. Click Save.
You can also copy a Proposal from the Proposal List.
  1. Go to Lists>Customers & Sales>Proposals.
  2. Select the proposal you want to copy.
  3. Click the Copy button.
  4. The new proposal opens on the Proposals screen.
  5. Add or edit the information on the proposal as necessary.
  6. Click Save.
You can also right-click on a proposal in the list to choose to copy it.

Only the following information from the original proposal will be copied to the new proposal:

  • Customer
  • Bill to information
  • Ship to information
  • Accept proposal designation
  • Drop ship designation
  • Ship via information
  • Terms
  • Sales Rep
  • A/R Account
  • Line items
  • Freight
  • Notes

Note: Information on the Track It panel is not copied.
