Before you can insert an object, you must select a row in the Design window. To insert an object, select the row button, and click an object type from the Design toolbar. New objects are inserted above the selected row button.

You have attempted to insert a design object without selecting an existing row in the Design window. Before you can insert an object, you must first select the row above which you want the new object to appear.

For example, say that you want a Column Description object to appear just above one of the Text - Body objects in your financial statement. You would follow these steps:

1. Select the row button for the Text - Body object above which you want the Column Description to appear.
2. Select the Column tool in the Design toolbar.

   The Column Description window appears.

3. Enter the information about the Column Description you want to create, and then click OK.

   Peacthree inserts the new Column Description above the Text - Body object you selected in step 1.
