About Sage 50 Accounting
To display information about your version of Sage 50, select About Sage 50 Accounting from the Help menu. Included in this window are links to the Sage 50 Software License Agreement and Sage 50 Copyright and Trademark Notices.
Tip: To assist you better, have the information listed in this window available before contacting Customer Support.
Release: This identifies the current version of Sage 50 that is installed on your computer.
Build: This further identifies the current version of Sage 50 that is installed on your computer. The first number is the Release number (for example 20.0); the remaining numbers indicate the actual build that is installed. As software updates become available and are installed, these numbers will change.
Serial Number: This is the serial number that was used to activate your licensed copy of Sage 50 on this computer.
Installed Tax Service: This identifies the current version of the Sage-maintained payroll formulas that are installed. The first four digits represent the
payroll tax year associated with your Sage-maintained tax formulas.
If you have the latest Sage 50 update installed, the first
four digits of the tax formula version represent the current payroll tax
year. If the first four digits of the tax formula version do not
match your current payroll tax year, you should install
the latest update.
You can get access to payroll services by
subscribing to a plan that includes payroll.
Plan Level: This displays your current plan subscription. If you have a current subscription you will also see the auto renewal date displayed here.
