The company you have selected already exists as a Sage 50 company. Rename the company in QuickBooks and try again.

You have selected one of the following:

• A QuickBooks company that has already been converted to the Sage 50 format.
• A QuickBooks company that has a duplicate company name or one that has already been converted to the Sage 50 format.
• A QuickBooks company that has a company name that matches a currently existing Sage 50 company.

To convert the selected QuickBooks company to the Sage 50 format, you must rename the company.

Rename a company in QuickBooks

1. Start QuickBooks and open your company.
2. From the QuickBooks Company menu, select Company Information. The Company Information window displays.
3. In the Legal Name field, enter a different company name for your QuickBooks company.

   Sage 50 first uses the "Legal Name," and then the "Company Name" of your QuickBooks company when converting the data.

4. When finished, select OK. Close the company and try the conversion again.
