Sage 50 Accounting—Canadian Edition (Release 2027.0)

The 2027.0 release of Sage 50 was released in October 2026 and includes the following new features and product improvements:

  • Get started faster with product updates—If you have an active Sage 50 subscription, you can now install a product update without entering a new serial number or activation key. This means the serial number and activation key you used for version 2026.0 can be used to activate 2027.0.

  • Get help in seconds—Introducing Sage Assistant, a smart chatbot designed to answer your most common questions and assist you around the clock. Access Sage Assistant any time by clicking Sage Assistant in Sage 50.

  • Use automatic calculations to process payroll in the previous year—If you have a payroll subscription plan, you can now process payroll in the current and previous calendar years with automatic tax calculations. This means you no longer need to complete your final payroll transaction before starting a new calendar year.

  • Save time logging in—Two-factor authentication is no longer required every time you log in to your Sage account. This applies to companies with Sage account login enabled, and all companies accessed with Sage 50 Cloud.

  • Convert cloud data automatically—If you’re using Sage 50 Cloud, your data is now automatically converted to the latest version whenever a product update occurs. Not using Sage 50 Cloud yet? Connect with us to learn more

  • Use the new Shift4 connection for payment processing—We have updated the Shift4 (formerly Worldline) URLs so you can continue processing payments without interruption.

Note: If you're using Shift4 (formerly Worldline), you need to install Sage 50 version 2027.0 by the end of December 2026 to ensure your connectivity.
