You can add an inventory or service item "on the fly" when you enter a sales or purchase invoice, order, or quote, adjust or transfer inventory, or assemble inventory items.
Before you can perform this task
                                                
                                                    
                                            
                                            - If you are using customer orders, turn on the customer order setting.
- If you are using customer quotes, turn on the customer quotes setting.
- If you are using vendor orders, turn on the vendor order setting.
- If you are using vendor quotes, turn on the vendor quotes setting.
To add an inventory or service item "on the fly":
- In the window you are working in, do the following action:
- Click Create.
- Create the record for the inventory item or service.
