Change linked accounts using the Linked Accounts wizard

Switch to single-user mode (Sage 50 Premium Accounting)

  1. In the Home window, on the Setup menu, select Settings. Open General (Accounts) and select Linked Accounts.
  2. Select an account for Retained earnings from the list.
  3. Click OK.

Note: In history mode, if you select the option Record opening balances in my Retained Earnings account, differences between debit and credit opening account balances are automatically offset to your Retained Earnings account.

Remove the linked account for retained earnings

  1. In the Home window, on the Setup menu, select Settings. Open General (Accounts) and select Linked Accounts.
  2. Select the Retained Earnings account and press Backspace.
  3. Click OK.

  2. Select an account for Charges and an account for Income from the list.
  3. Click OK.

Remove the linked accounts for matching transactions

  1. In the Home window, on the Setup menu, select Settings. Open General (Accounts) and select Linked Accounts.
  2. Select the accounts for Charges and Income and press Backspace.
  3. Click OK.
