Add or modify a GIFI code

To export GIFI codes for electronic T2 returns:

  1. In the Home window on the File menu, choose Import/Export, and then Electronic Filing, followed by Export GIFI.
  2. Select the year containing the GIFI codes you want to export. (This step is optional if you have been operating your company for less than one year.)
  3. Choose where you want to save your file.
  4. Consult the manual of your tax reporting software for instructions for importing the GIFI codes, or give the file to the accountant preparing your T2 return.
