Processing or Recording a Transaction

Depending on the type of transaction you are processing or recording, Sage 50 Accounting displays either one of these terms as a menu option or button:

or Use Process (Non-Accounting Terminology) or Post (Accounting Terminology) to record a transaction entry and update the related account totals.

Use Record to save a transaction entry without affecting your account totals (for example, a purchase order or a cash-basis accounting transaction.)
