Remove a Department

To remove a department:

1. In the Home window on the Setup menu, select Settings.
2. Open General (Accounts), and then Departments.
3. Select the department Code and press Delete. You cannot delete departments if:
1. They have been used in a transaction that hasn't been cleared
2. They are assigned to any records in a module (for example, Employees)
3. They are being used as linked accounts
4. Click OK.
