Upload Tax Slips to Sage HR

You need to provide T4 slips for all your employees to indicate income you paid over the previous calendar year. For employees in Quebec, you will provide both a T4 slip and RL-1 slip.1 By uploading the forms to Sage HR, employees can self-serve during tax season.

Important! If the upload option is not available for an employee, they are not synced with Sage HR. You need to sync the employee first.

To upload T4 slips

  1. In the Home window, on the Reports menu, choose Payroll, and then T4 Slips and Summary.
  2. Select the calendar year.
  3. Select an employee or employees from the list, or choose Select All to include all employees. If you need to include inactive employees, select the Include Inactive Employees check box, and then select the inactive employees in the list.
  4. Select the Upload to Sage HR option for Employee copy.
  5. Provide any other necessary information.
  6. Click OK.

To upload RL-1 slips

  1. In the Home window, on the Reports menu, choose Payroll, and then Relevé 1 Slips.
  2. Select the calendar year.
  3. Select an employee or employees from the list, or choose Select All to include all employees. If you need to include inactive employees, select the Include Inactive Employees check box, and then select the inactive employees in the list.
  4. Select the Upload to Sage HR option for Employee copy.
  5. Provide any other necessary information.
  6. Click OK.
