Perform a Server-Only Installation of Sage 50 Accounting
To complete a server-only installation so you can store and share your company data on a network:
Note: You must be an administrator for this computer to install Sage 50 Accounting. The Sage 50 Accounting Connection Manager cannot be installed on a network-attached storage unit or network drive.
- Insert the Sage 50 Accounting disc into your computer. When the launch window opens click Install Sage 50 Accounting.
 - (Optional) Select your language preference.
 - Read the Licence Agreement and select the I Agree check box.
 - (Optional) If you have the Windows Firewall turned on, click Yes to let Sage 50 Accounting automatically set up your firewall options. If you click No, or if you have a different firewall installed, you will need to configure your firewall permissions manually for Sage 50 Accounting. Consult our online knowledgebase for additional information about configuring your firewall.
 - Select the Type of installation and then click Next:
 - Advanced. Allows you to select which components to install and leave out or perform a server-only installation. Recommended for advanced users only.
 - Select Server-only so you can install the components that are required to store Sage 50 data and successfully share it with other computers.
 - Click Next.
 - Review your installation choices in the Installation summary. If you need to make any changes, click the Back button to get to the correct window.
 - Click Install.
 - Click Finish once the installation is complete.
 
If the launch window doesn't open, open the Windows Start menu and select Run. Type D:LAUNCH in the Open box and click OK (Substitute your optical disc drive letter if it isn't D:).
