Change a Sales Tax Amount on a Transaction

There are two ways that you can change a sales tax amount on a transaction:

Change the sales tax amount charged to an item

1. Select the item line in the transaction window.
2. On the Sales or Purchase menu, choose Tax Summary For Line.
3. Change the Amount for the sales tax.
4. Click OK to return to the invoice, quote, or order.

Change the sales tax amount charged for freight

1. Select the freight line in the transaction window.
2. On the Sales or Purchase menu, choose Tax Summary For Line.
3. Change the Amount for the sales tax.
4. Click OK to return to the invoice, quote, or order.

Change the sales tax amount charged to the entire transaction

1. Select the item line in the transaction window.
2. On the Sales or Purchase menu, choose Tax Summary.
3. Change the Amount for the sales tax.
4. Click OK to return to the invoice, quote, or order.
