Install Sage 50 Accounting on your computer

1. Insert the Sage 50 Accounting disc into your computer. When the launch window, opens click Install Sage 50 Accounting.

If the launch window doesn't open, open the Windows Start menu and select Run. Type D:LAUNCH in the Open box and click OK (Substitute your optical disc drive letter if it isn't D:).

2. (Optional) Select your language preference.
3. (Optional) If you have the Windows Firewall turned on, click Yes to let Sage 50 Accounting automatically set up your firewall options. If you click No, or if you have a different firewall installed, you will need to configure your firewall permissions manually for Sage 50 Accounting. Consult our online knowledgebase for additional information about configuring your firewall.
4. Select the Type of installation and then click Next:
• Typical. Installs everything you need to use all of the features available in your edition of Sage 50 Accounting. This is the recommended installation choice.
5. Enter your serial number or select to install a Free Trial Version and click Next.
6. Read the Licence Agreement and select the I Agree check box.
7. Click Install.
8. (Optional) Select Open Sage 50 Accounting.
9. (Optional) Select View product information in the README. This file may contain release notes that are not included in the online help.
10. (Optional) Select Learn how to configure Windows and folders so I can share company data with other Sage 50 Accounting users.
11. Click Finish.
12. (Optional) Restart your computer.

4. Select the Type of installation and then click Next:
• Advanced. Allows you to select which components to install and leave out or perform a server-only installation. Recommended for advanced users only.
5. Select Custom so you can select the components to install.
6. Enter your serial number or select to install a Free Trial Version and click Next.
7. (Optional) Choose which components you wish to install.
8. (Optional) Select the folder into which Sage 50 Accounting will be installed:
   • If you want to change the default folder for the new installation, click Browse and then locate and select the folder in which Sage 50 Accounting should be installed. Click OK and then click Next.
   • (Optional) Select the Add a shortcut to my desktop check box.
9. Review your installation choices in the Installation summary. If you need to make any changes, use the Back button to get to the correct window. Otherwise, click Next to proceed with the installation.
10. Read the Licence Agreement and select the I Agree check box.
11. Click Install.
12. (Optional) Select Open Sage 50 Accounting.
13. (Optional) Select View product information in the README. This file may contain release notes that are not included in the online help.
14. (Optional) Select Learn how to configure Windows and folders so I can share company data with other Sage 50 Accounting users.
15. Click Finish.
16. (Optional) Restart your computer.

You can install and remove Sage 50 Accounting features on your computer at any time.

1. If Sage 50 Accounting is running on your computer, close it.
2. Insert the Sage 50 Accounting disk into your computer.
3. Select Install Sage 50 Accounting.
4. Select Add/Remove Program Components and click Next.
5. Select the features that you want to install on your computer, or clear the selection box next to the features you want to remove.
6. (Optional) If the Change button becomes active when you select your feature,click on it to further customize the feature.
7. Click Next.
8. (Optional) Rename or move any forms that you have customized to ensure that Sage 50 Accounting does not overwrite them with the default files.
9. Click OK.
