Add or Modify Item Information for Exporting or Importing Transactions

There are two ways to prepare items for import and export with vendors and customers:

ClosedAdd or modify item numbers for inventory or service items that you have created
ClosedIf you and your customer or vendor use the same item numbers
  1. Open the customer or vendor record.
  2. Open the Import/Export tab.
  3. Select This customer/vendor uses my item number on orders/invoices or quotes.
  4. Click Save and Close.
ClosedIf you and your customer or vendor use different item numbers
  1. Open the customer or vendor record.
  2. Open the Import/Export tab.
  3. On a blank line in the Vendor's or Customer's Item Number column, type the item number your customer or vendor uses.
  4. In the My Item Number column, type the item number you use in your records.
  5. Click Save and Close.
ClosedAdd or modify account information for items that you have not created in Inventory & Services
  1. Open the vendor or customer record.
  2. Select the Import/Export tab.
  3. On a blank line in the Vendor's or Customer's Item Number column, type the item number your vendor or customer uses.
  4. In the My Account column, select the account you want to use for the purchase (vendors) or sale (customers) of the item.
  5. Click Save and Close.
